Finally! The kids got their woolies.

And here are the pictures to prove it (it still looks cold up there in Ghor so I think the children were pretty happy with their woolen goods).

Big thanks to Heida for doing the distribution, to Annie for organising the whole thing and to everyone of you who knitted, bought, paid for or made these warm woolens. They will be appreciated in a way we will probably never fully understand

Awesome! What a terrific gift. Way to go, Annie!

what a fabulous story annie and frida ! xo

It's amazing to see such wonderment and joy on these childrens faces. These images must stay with you for a long time, but I am sure that there are far more heartbreaking images that stay with you too.

Your posts bring back many memories of my childhood in India and Pakistan. Thank you for giving us so much to think about.

What an exciting day. Many blessings.

So pleased to learn of your work with the children in Ghor.
I have a friend who owns a yarn shop up in Massachusetts
who is interested in assisting me with making/collecting
warm hats, socks, scarfs for children living in orphanages.
Learning of your efforts in Ghor this afternoon I feel led
to join in your efforts. Having known of WAR CHILD - holding
a benefit for them a few years ago to collect money to assist
in rebuilding an orphanage in Nasariya Iraq I have hoped to
connect with someone working with orphanages in either
Afganistan or Iraq. Please email me - I would appreciate an
address where we could send the warm clothing for the cold
months ahead. THANK YOU. Blessings, Emilie Hamilton
